National Line/Subject Line/Self-drawn Line/Admission Line#

  1. National Line: The passing line

If you pass the national line but fail to pass the reexamination line, you can apply for adjustment

  1. Subject Line: The individual subject score line for English/Politics/Mathematics/Major Courses

The 34 self-drawn line colleges and universities have their own subject lines, while other schools have subject lines set by the state

  1. Self-drawn Line: The reexamination line set by the target college separately

Both the subject score and the total score must be greater than or equal to the national line to enter the reexamination of the target college

  1. Admission Line: The score of the last candidate in the list of intended admissions for the major

Academic Master/Professional Master#

  1. Academic Master
    • Mainly for training teaching and research talents
    • Full-time study
    • The duration of study is generally 3 years
    • Academic Master is more difficult than Professional Master
    • Academic Master can be adjusted to Professional Master
    • Academic Master can apply for direct Ph.D. program
  2. Professional Master
    • Mainly for training high-level professionals in specific fields
    • Most are full-time, a small part are part-time
    • The duration of study is generally 2-3 years
    • Professional Master is less difficult than Academic Master
    • Professional Master cannot be adjusted to Academic Master
    • Professional Master cannot apply for direct Ph.D. program, only Ph.D. program can be applied after passing the entrance examination

Full-time/Part-time#

  1. Full-time
    • For current students
    • Full-time students can switch to part-time
    • There are differences in classes, dormitories, and tuition fees between full-time and part-time
  2. Part-time
    • For non-current students (working professionals)
    • Part-time students cannot switch to full-time
    • There are differences in classes, dormitories, and tuition fees between full-time and part-time

School Selection Methods#

  1. Determine the Major/Duration of Study

    • Same major or cross-major
    • Academic Master or Professional Master
  2. Determine the Region

    • Zone A: Good social resources, high recognition, large number of applicants, high competition, small chance of admission
    • Zone B: Average social resources, average recognition, small number of applicants, low competition, high chance of admission
  3. Determine the School

    • Exclude schools with few admissions and heavy emphasis on major courses
    • Choose the target school based on training direction, admission ratio, admission score line, discipline ranking, employment area, reference books, etc.

Exam Subjects#

  1. English
    • Total score out of 100
    • Divided into English (I) and English (II)
    • Generally, Academic Master candidates take English (I), while Professional Master candidates take English (II)
  2. Politics
    • National unified examination
    • Total score out of 100
    • Except for the 7 majors in Management Examination, other majors need to take the Politics exam in the preliminary examination
  3. Mathematics
    • Total score out of 150
    • Divided into Mathematics (I), Mathematics (II), and 396 Economic Comprehensive Examination, with decreasing difficulty in order
  4. Major Courses
    • Total score out of 150 or 300
    • Divided into national unified examination and independent topic
    • Each school and major has different requirements

  7. Undergraduate transcript (stamped by the Academic Affairs Office)
  8. Political review form (filled out and stamped by the department)
  9. Interview resume (about 5 copies)
  10. Self-introduction in Chinese and English
